STATEMENT OF FAITH
1. We believe in the Divine inspiration, and the integrity, finality, and sole sufficiency of the Bible as the Word of God and is of supreme and final authority in matters of faith and practice. (II Timothy 3:16‑17)
2. We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons ‑ Father,Son, and Holy Spirit. (John 14:9; Acts 5:3‑4; Acts 20:28)
3. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God, died for our sins according to the Scripture as a substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe in Him are justified by faith in His blood (I Peter 2:24)
4. We believe in the death, burial and resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and His present life there as Intercessor, High Priest and Advocate for us.(I Corinthians 15:3‑4; Acts 1:9; Romans 8:34; I John 2:1)
5. We believe in the personality of the Holy Spirit as set forth in the Word of God, and that He is essential to the salvation and regeneration of the lost. (John 14:16‑17; John 16:7‑11)
6. We believe that humanity was created in the image of God, that humanity sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but spiritual death, which is spiritual separation from God. (Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:12)
7. We believe that salvation is by grace through faith and that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus become the children of God and are indwelt by the Holy Spirit.
(Ephesians 2:8‑9; I Corinthians 6:19; John 1:12)
8. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, but each in their own order. We believe in the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting, conscious punishment of the lost in Hell. (I Thessalonians 4:16‑17; Revelation 20:11‑15)
9. We believe in the rapture of the Church which will take place before the tribulation period, when the "Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven" to catch up His people to meet Him "in the air."(I Thessalonians 4:16‑17)
10. We believe in the personal, premillennial, bodily return of the Lord Jesus to set up His kingdom upon the earth. (Acts 1:11;Revelation 19:11‑16)
11. We believe that the Scriptures set forth immersion as the only method of baptism because it pictures the believer's death, burial, and resurrection with Christ into newness of life. It is also a commandment given by the Lord to all believers. (Romans 6:1‑5; Acts 8:36‑37)
12. We believe that the bread and wine used in the Communion Service are symbolic of the broken body and poured out blood of the Lord Jesus, and that partaking of these elements is a commandment given by the Lord to all believers. (Luke 22:19; 1Corinthians 11:23‑25)
13. We believe that the offices of pastor, elder, and deacon are gender specific to men. (I Timothy 2:12-14; I Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9; Acts 6:1-7)
14. We believe that the only God-ordained form of marriage is the joining of one man and one woman in a life-long covenant. In His Word, the Bible, God has forbidden any intimate sexual activity outside of marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery and pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex. (I Corinthians 7:2-4; Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:23-27)
15. We believe that human life begins at conception and that the inborn child is a living human being. Therefore, abortion is the unjustified taking of a human life. We reject the idea that abortion is legitimate even under the following extenuating circumstances: pregnancy due to rape or incest, birth defects, or the mental well being of the mother. We particularly condemn abortion that is practiced for gender selection, birth control or population control. (Psalms 139:13-16; Jeremiah 1:4-5; Isaiah 44:2; Judges 13:5; Luke 1:39-41)
16. We believe that certain sign gifts (signs, wonders, miracles and tongues) had a temporary purpose to authenticate the gospel message and ceased when the scripture were completed.(I Corinthians 13:8-10)
